Pieniny Mountains
In
the southern part of Poland just where it boarders Slovakia and beside
the Tatra mountains there are another mountains - the Pieniny. These mountains
are not so high and as difficult as the Tatra. Moreover it is said to
be the most interesting and beautiful region of southern Poland. You can
find here many rare species of plants and animals. Therefore a national
park - Pieniński Park Narodowy - was established in the part of the Pieniny
in 1932. That is the reason why we have choosen to build the base in this
particular place.
